Winx club what makes you beautiful

I watched the show as a kid and I always thought the meaning was about girl power. And that's exactly what it is. The Winx are strong, determined girls who fight evil and stand up for what's right, which is much better and more empowering for your girls to watch than Barbie or certain Disney princesses, who obsesse over boys and fashion and wait for their princes to save them. Believing in yourself is also a very prominent message in the show, especially season 4.

The girls do have boyfriends in this show, but it is merely an underlying theme, rather than taking over the entire storyline. In conclusion, this show has positive messages that teaches your child to to believe in themselves and has girl power centered messages that are empowering to young girls.

Seasons have quality character development with the six protagonists going through fairy college and graduating, experiencing their own life trials and tribulations and learning how to overcome them. Seasons 6 and 7 are still good, although they feel like they're not written by the person who wrote seasons And I'm personally disappointed about the lack of any development the show gives for side characters.

Adult Written by Isaac February 15, Winx Club Forever! I grew up watching this show on Cartoon Network back in up to , when RAI was dubbing the show, then on Nickeledon many years later.

This show has positive role models and positive messages galore. I find the description of the show by CommonSense Media ill fitting and incorrect. Considering what shows on TV nowadays, Winx Club is a gem of a show. Adult Written by taylorswiftrules November 4, Adult Written by Jinx M.

December 10, I grew up watching Winx Club I started watching this show when it came out, I was around 5 years old back then.

My parents were happy that I found and liked this show. My mother even went to "Rainbow Magic Land" with me and my brother. I started losing interest around 14 or 15 years, but in all that time I never wore revealing clothes and never was anorexic. I simply didn't care about what they wore or looked like. Winx Club actually taught me that I'm beautiful when I'm happy and enjoy live with my friends. Adult Written by RelenaFallen August 4, My 5 year old sister hates it!

Honestly,is this show a joke? I forced myself to watch the first two seasons because my one and a half year old neice liked the show. Parent of a 9 and year-old Written by mom March 15, My daughter received a lunchbox type fairy type game for her birthday a couple years ago. Neither of us had ever heard of these winx "people". It never interested her enough to really look at it so she put it in her closet and forgot about it.

We recently moved and it came with us and I thought I should find someone to give it to. I went to the site to see what it was about expecting it to be a little kids show and there were quizzes on the home page asking where is the best place for a first DATE!!! All I can say is WTH?!?!?!? Like another poster said, by the time they're old enough, they wouldn't be interested! Adult Written by FrozenTomb March 31, Only seasons are amazing RAI version I grew up with this show between and Back then it was amazing.

First 3 seasons felt like they are meant for smart children. There was a lot of heart touching and emotional moments which were just simply beautiful. The girls never gave up and they even used to sacrifice themselves to save others. From season 5 all of these values and great moments have been taken away. The plot feels rushed and forced.

The Winx don't value their friendship like they used to. They even made Stella behave like a valley girl that cares only about appearance and being in the spotlight. In earlier seasons even though she could act silly, she knew when to be responsible and make smart decisions.

At the moment she's nothing more than annoying. As much as seasons RAI version could potentially teach your kids to be mature and make smart decisions, the latest seasons won't teach them anything useful. They will probably even delay their development. This is most clear during episode four, when all of the main girls minus Stella Hannah van der Westhuysen go out of their way to try to eat lunch with Bloom Abigail Cowen while the rest of the school is ostracizing her — finally, a chance for some positive interaction!

However, Bloom responds by getting up and leaving. Beyond their lack of friendships, all five of the main girls are difficult to root for even as individuals.

Their supposed character arcs are disjointed and slapdash, and there is not one genuine redeeming quality in sight. The members of the Winx Club get annoyed at each other for cheap attempts at comedy, but these disagreements are never addressed again or resolved. Just like the shell they found, Bloom and Sky only feel whole when they're together! Couples that recycle together, stay together! Plus, cleaning up the environment is a great date activity. Roy might have feelings for Aisha, but it doesn't seem like she's ready to love again just yet.

Only after they put down their phones and disconnected did Timmy and Tecna feel closer than ever. Whenever Stella and Brandon get together, their smiles last all day.

Unfortunately for the Winx, Icy is a little too supportive of her beau and his plot to rule the Infinite Ocean. Musa and Riven know that music sounds better when you're listening along with someone you care about. Stella: Well, will you please solve this riddle for me? Stella: Oh, man! Aisha: It's something you know. Tecna: And she called you Princess of Solaria. Bloom: So, it must be something you know about Solaria. Stella: But I know zillions of things about Solaria.

I know what time the sun rises, where to get the best pancakes and names of every king and queen since Winx: What? Stella: Royalty! Of course! The Royal Deeps, where the water is deep and dark but filled with light!

Winx: Yay! Bloom: Nice job, Stella. Musa: Woo hoo! Aisha: Way to go, Stella. Stella: Now, we just have to find them.

Aisha: Right. Bloom, Tecna and Flora: Exactly. Musa: Totally. Tritannus: The gate to the ocean of Solaria. Illiris: Stop, creature, you may not enter. Tritannus: Don't be silly. Illiris: Ah! Tritannus: The powers of the keeper of Solaria gate. If I keep grabbing keepers' powers at this rate, I'll be able to enter the Infinite Ocean in no time! And now let's cruise in the oceans of Solaria. Tritannus: Icy. Icy: It's Tritannus! Stormy: Her master's voice. Icy: Oh, out of juice? Tritannus: I need more pollutants.

Icy: Don't worry. I'm on it. Sisters, time for another visit to planet Earth. Darcy: Oh, hooray Sky: About the other day, I really wanted to talk with Diaspro. Bloom: I understand. She's from your home planet and the two of you to have a lot of history. Sky: Yeah, exactly. But the funny thing is when we got to talking, I realized Bloom: You remembered her? Sky: No. Bloom: You care about her? Sky: No!

I realized she's really boring. Bloom: Oh, Sorry. That's my phone. It's my mom. Vanessa: Bloom, I need your help, Gardenia needs your help. Something horrible is happening in the ocean right off our coast. Bloom: Oh! Bloom: Hey, guys. Vanessa: Bloom. There is pollution spreading everywhere.

Bloom: OK mom, I'm coming. I've got to go home. Tecna: Don't worry Bloom, Musa and I will go with you to help. Sky: Yeah, I'll come to. Stella: The rest of us will go to Solaria. Tritannus: Uh! Icy, it's not enough, I need more pollution. Icy: Hey, you! Open up that valve thingy. Stella: We're here! The ocean of Solaria.

Flora: It's beautiful. Stella: And Odyssey Explorer got us here in no time. Love you, Ody. Brandon: Hey, what's that? Stella: That is the Royal Deeps. Aisha: That light thing seems to come from the bottom. Flora: "Where the dark depths of the ocean shine. Are you ready? Flora: Flora, Fairy of Nature! Aisha: Aisha, Fairy of Waves! Stella: Stella, Fairy of the Shinning Sun! Roy: Looking good, Winx! Brandon: You look beautiful, Stella. Stella: Hearing that makes me feel beautiful, Brandon.

Aisha: Enough, lovey-dovey, time to get down there. Roy: Good luck, Winx. Lemmy: Ah! Aisha: Lemmy, this is my friend, Flora. Flora: I'm so happy to meet you. Illiris: Hello, I am Illiris. Stella: What a beautiful name. I'm Stella. Flora: They're bonding, it's so beautiful. Illiris: Oh, Stella! Thank you! Lemmy: Tritannus stole Illiris' powers too.

But now she has them back, thanks to Stella. Flora: We could use her help on our quest. Aisha: Yeah, since Tritannus has managed to get through the gate and into the ocean of Solaria.

Stella: Illiris, can you help us find the Royal Deeps? Illiris: Of course.
