Who is the creator of evangelion

Anno is the creator of the Evangelion story, and wrote or co-wrote the script for every episode of the TV series except for Episode He was one of the founding members of Gainax anime studio. After Evangelion, Anno directed on another anime, His and Her Circumstances , and later worked on several live action films, return to Evangelion in with the formation of Studio Khara to produce the Rebuild of Evangelion films.

A world where, fifteen years before, over half the human population perished. A world that has been miraculously revived: its economy, the production, circulation, consumption of material goods, so that even the shelves of convenience stores are filled.

A world where the people have gotten used to the resurrection-yet still feel the end of the world is destined to come. A world where the number of children, the future leaders of the world, is few. A world where Japan saw the original Tokyo destroyed, discarded and forgotten, and built a new capital in Nagano Prefecture.

They constructed a new capital, Tokyo-2, then left it to be a decoy-then constructed another new capital, Tokyo-3, and tried to make it safe from attack. A world where some completely unknown enemy called the "Angels" comes to ravage the cities. This is roughly the worldview for Neon Genesis Evangelion.

This is a worldview drenched in a vision of pessimism. A worldview where the story starts only after any traces of optimism have been removed. And in that world, a year-old boy shrinks from human contact. And he tries to live in a closed world where his behavior dooms him, and he has abandoned the attempt to understand himself. A cowardly young man who feels that his father has abandoned him, and so he has convinced himself that he is a completely unnecessary person, so much so that he cannot even commit suicide.

And there is a year-old woman who lives life so lightly as to barely allow the possibility of a human touch. She protects herself by having surface level relationships, and running away. Both are extremely afraid of being hurt. Both are unsuitable—lacking the positive attitude—for what people call heroes of an adventure. But in any case, they are the heroes of this story. They say, "To live is to change. In the end, Anno says Shinji mirrors his own experience.

For a long time after its release, the Neon Genesis Evangelion anime was hard to find outside of Japan, with American audiences resorting to importing or stealing the series. It functions as a film adaptation that intends to bridge the gap between old and new fans. Thrice Upon a Time, which Anno says is the final film he will be involved in writing, comes almost a full decade since the last entry in the Rebuild of Evangelion series. According to Anno, the film series should be enough of a self-contained story to satisfy newcomers, and act as a primer for the original series.

As for the finale, it sure is a spectacle of a movie. So is it good? That depends on your point of view. For newcomers, it would wrap up a pretty interesting retelling of the Evangelion universe, albeit one missing possibly the same emotional gravitas it had during its episode run.

For fans, myself included, the feeling of watching what is said to be the final film is surprisingly soothing. While it leaves long timers with even more questions, it answers many. Is there any chance that you will tackle an epic anime project like Evangelion ever again, or do you see your future in your live-action works?

So, for a while, I would like to focus on live-action and come back to animation maybe once I will have more stuff I want to do. As for large budget projects, I think it's a matter of whether the idea I come up with fits the capacity or not. Also, in Japan, it's hard to find opportunities to do such high-budget shows.

So, I want to take as much opportunity as I can since I'm in my 60's as well. ANNO: When I made the third film, I held myself together to finish it, but it really wore me out mentally and physically. So, I was actually in more of a broken state at that point. So, I actually needed some time off to work on something else to restart myself, to be able to face Evangelion again.

So I did another project after the third movie [ Shin Godzilla ], but without it, I don't think I'd have been able to finish Evangelion yet.

ANNO: So, upon remaking Evangelion , there were many interesting things to do, but to remake something we had already done was a very stressful process. There were so many fans that have their own values for it, which I always kept in mind while making the movies, while also create something new and interesting to those fans as well.

So, and for myself, at this point I don't feel that I have the desire to continue on with Evangelion , but there's always the year gap in the story, so in some form, I want to shed light into that. But at this point, I don't feel that I'm going to continue on the story where I left off.
